A ray of light. During the glimpse of the early morning Yves, who’s sleeping in his bed when a sudden ray of light interrupted his sleep, it wasn’t any ordinary ray of light, it shined onto the young boy’s presence. Yves looked like an angel as if the sun was eclipsing into his gazed upon beauty, it’s like the moon dances around for Yves wanting to arouse the young boy. As the ray of light seemed to stay still, it woke up Yves and led him to wandering, “Is that you? Elvis?” said calmly he stood out of his bed and began to look outside his window. Yves felt lightheaded even though it felt like a fever dream, he stood outside his window and looked at the faded moon, “I wish I was upon the shooting stars, dancing around with you. My love you are the ray of light in my life, the one that will always give me hope.” Yves said in a teary tone and went back to his bed, went beneath his blankets and faced the wall, and fell asleep.

“Elvis! Follow me!” Yves said excitedly, “Hold on! I’m gonna trip here love, easy. Why did you bring me here? why is it so peaceful?” Elvis said in a panted tone. “Elvis, me and parents would always go to this specific trail, it was used to be filled with dandelions and daisies, this place feels so nostalgic.” Yves said with a calm tone. Yves took Elvis’s hand and brought his lover near the trees and sat beneath the trees. The two lovers talked about each others passion and looked like lovebirds. “Yves, you know I have this thought, if I die I wish we could reincarnate into anything” Elvis said, “Huh? Whys that?” Yves laughed, “I would want to reincarnate as the sun!” Elvis said proudly and laughed, “Why’s that, you’ll die twice then” Yves laughed, “You know? every time I get to be with you, you remind me of the moon. You always shine so bright. Every evening I get to be with you, you look like the moon, I think the moon even envies you, its like u take the moon’s spotlight.” Yves was left speechless and was touched by the words Elvis said. “I-I never expected that type of answer, I might cry here right now” Yves said in a teary tone.
(Yves’s POV)
At the moment beneath the trees, I though you were the one for me. Every word that comes out of your mouth makes me feel like the happiest person in this observable universe; now I really do believe the universe is far more beyond than I could ever imagine now that you’re gone. Because of you, I believe in reincarnation during that night I knew you were watching me across the nights horizon, protecting me in the far sight of the cold void, I knew it was you. After you passed away, I felt hopeless, I felt guilty, And I just felt mad at myself for not taking care of you that much. But during that day you promised to give me sign even if you were gone, now that I saw that ray of light, it gave me hope and strength to build up my dignity all over again. Yet you are so near yet so far away from me. Now I really do believe in reincarnation, you reincarnated as the sun, fulfilling your dreams to finally eclipse onto my presence, as if I was the moon, the promise you gave me underneath those wide trees. I would rather dance up with you in the midst of the void than living here in this cruel reality. That ray of light you showed me gave me the reason to live my life to the fullest and finally see you in the afterlife. Thank you for those amazing years, it felt like I grew old enough with you.
